Bodega Comenge
Made exclusively in excellent vintages. Estate wine, made with the grapes of our Pago de las Hontanillas vineyard of only 2.7 hectares with a calcareous soil, planted at 900 metres above sea level in Pesquera de Duero. Its moderate production and the peculiar aromatic character of this Tempranillo creates one of the iconic wines of the Ribera del Duero region.
Its long ageing (between 20 and 24 months) includes the use of only new French oak barrels. The wine is characterised by its intense colour and its powerful bouquet, full of fruit, flowers and spice, aromas of scrubland herbs, cocoa, spices and tobacco… This wine is pleasure personified.

Tasting Notes
This wine has cherry red color with a very high layer. It has a very deep nose, which gradually opens to many registers: black fruits, plums, black currants, chocolate, spices and a transparent mineral background that reminds us of chalk. The taste has excellent acidity and is pleasantly fresh, with a rounded, wide body, showing velvety tannins, exquisite fruit maturity and a dense, concentrated and delicate texture in the mouth. A huge journey throughout its development, providing a long life in a bottle. Pairing: red meat, game dishes, sausages, spicy dishes and chocolate desserts.
