100% Tempranillo
Bodega Comenge
Made with grapes from our oldest vineyard, Pago de los Ismas, this wine pays tribute to the great wines of the Ribera del Duero region. If the Tempranillo variety grown in the Ribera del Duero is characterised by anything at all, it is its excellent capacity for ageing and lying in the bottle. The wine is kept in new and one-year-old barrels of French oak for between 24 and 27 months, giving it time to grow in intensity, elegance, finesse and persistence in the mouth.

Tasting Notes
This wine has a medium-high layer, cherry red with pomegranate reflections, bright and very clean. Intense and spicy nose. Memories of licorice, ripe red fruits, fennel, aromatic herbs and balsamic sensations stand out. The aromatic richness of this Tempranillo is such that the sketches of oak, caramel, vanilla, cocoa are barely visible on it. The taste is soft and broad, but not rich, showing throughout the journey the excellent qualities of its tannins, very delicate and sweet. Aromatically, it is slightly less fruity and more spicy; We again find ripe red fruits, as well as vanilla, caramel, scrub and licorice, adding complexity to the set.
The finish is very long and silky, leaving a fresh sensation that invites you to drink. Pairing: red meat, game dishes, sausages, well-seasoned dishes and seasoned cheeses.
